At present, there are four main types of cars lights in market. , They are halogen headlight bulbs, hid headlight bulbs, LED headlights, and laser headlights. Do you know the advantages and disadvantages of these 4 types car lights?

1. Halogen headlight bulbs

Halogen lamp is a traditional car lamp. It is composed of a halogen bulb + light bowl + xenon lens. It’s structure is simple and start speed is 1-2 seconds. Now halogen applications in car manufacturing factory is fewer and fewer.

Advantages:

Low price, color temperature is usually 3300K. Penetration function in rain and fog days is good!

2. HID bulbs

HID bulb usage is used together with xenon projector lens headlight. The voltage is increased to 23000V through a ballast to activate the xenon inert gas in the transistor. The brightness is stable in 4 to 10 seconds, and the brightness is three times higher than halogen bulbs.

Advantages: high brightness, low energy consumption.

Disadvantages: There is a delay in instant start, and there is a certain safety risk within the delaying time!

3. LED headlight

As everyone pays more and more attention to environmental protection, the LED (light emitting diode) has entered our vision. The low power does not affect the brightness, which is energy-saving and environment friendly.  It’s size is small and easier to design into various shapes. With long lifespan, can reach 30,000 hours. LED response time is fast. It’s instant bright, no delaying.

4. Laser headlight

The light-emitting component of laser headlight is laser diode, which has fast response speed, energy saving, small size, long life span and low brightness attenuation performance. It has greater advantages than LED in terms of energy consumption and volume.

Advantages: low energy consumption, long life, high brightness, long range,

Disadvantages: The cost is high, currently it is mainly applied to the far light, and it is rarely applied to the low light for the time being!
